NXD (New eXperience Design) lab. is a Visual Communication Design Consultancy founded on October 10, 2024, by Sungwoo Kim, a visual designer with 25 years of professional experience since 1999.

The “New” in New eXperience Design signifies innovation and the creation of new value through rediscovery and reinterpretation. Over time, even the most remarkable elements become familiar and fade into obscurity. NXD strives to keep these elements alive and vibrant, offering users a rediscovered “eXperience” through “Design”. This approach helps businesses and brands deliver unique and enduring services, embedding their distinct identity into every customer interaction.

What Sets NXD Apart
The expertise of NXD is built on the foundation of Sungwoo Kim’s extensive design career. For 22 years, he served as a core member of IDAS Design Co., Ltd., specializing in visualizing the identities of corporations, brands, and hospitals. Additionally, he partnered with IDAS and IDAS Architects Co., Ltd., contributing to architectural and interior projects by providing market analysis, collecting references, and delivering visualization proposals.

Recognizing the potential of visual design to enhance spatial design, he expanded into specialized areas, including “Super graphics” and “Space communication design”, thereby introducing new dimensions to the field. By doing so, he translated the uniqueness and functionality of spaces into visually engaging designs, helping clients understand and experience spaces more intuitively.

Building on this foundation, Sungwoo Kim co-founded the startup Brandsmore Co., Ltd., where he served as Chief Creative Officer (CCO). Immersed in the fast-paced startup ecosystem, he gained invaluable insights into the challenges faced by emerging companies. This experience reinforced his belief in the importance of providing startups and small businesses with affordable and accessible design solutions, tailored to their needs.
